As one of the company
co-founders, Mark has over 15 years experience in real estate
development, finance, asset management, leasing, acquisitions and
dispositions. Currently, he plays an active role in the asset
management of Proterra's portfolio as well as build-to-suit and development
activities in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Prior to forming Proterra
Properties, Inc., Mark held a number of leadership positions with
Vantage Companies. He served as President of Lexington Capital
Group, a Vantage subsidiary. While there, he was responsible for
asset management, financing, dispositions and partner reporting
for the group's portfolio, which consisted of 30 million square
feet of mainly industrial properties. Mark was also an Executive
Vice President and CFO for the Bradford Companies, where he was
instrumental in directing Bradford's transition from a development
company to a profitable real estate services company. As Executive
Vice President of Westvan Holdings, Inc., he led the development of
1.9 million square feet of industrial property in Houston and
Dallas and sourced equity for $35 million of multifamily projects.
In addition, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors
for the Vantage Companies, Westvan Holdings, Bradford Companies and
Vantage Houston, Inc. Before joining the Vantage organization,
Mark worked for four years at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst &
Young).
Mark, a Certified Public
Accountant, is an active member of the Real Estate Council. He
earned his Masters Degree in Taxation and holds a BBA from Baylor
University. |
